40 Days of Socks

From Wednesday, February 22 through Easter Sunday (April 8), the church observes the 40 days of Lent, walking to the cross with Jesus.

Here at Jerusalem Western Salisbury, the Youth of JWS will be spending these 40 days walking with the homeless, learning about their needs and what we can do to help.  As part of this time, the youth will be collecting packages of new socks to be distributed through the Daybreak Program of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches.

To help us help the homeless, we ask the congregation to please bring packages of new socks to church and drop them in the bins provided.  The socks needed are for adult men and women, all sizes, and the color white is preferred.  Thank you for your help!

UPDATE:  We will have a representative from the Lehigh County Council of Churches to receive the socks and tell us a little about her organization on April 15 at the 10:30 service.  We will collect socks until then.

SOCK ON!
